The wonderful okapi from central Africa was not identified as a distinct species until 1900-1901. Wonderfully attractive, this 'forest zebra' is a most welcome addition to our site. If any of you have seen these 'for real' around the rainforest of Zaire, well we think you are very lucky, but at least we can all enjoy this little soft toy okapi. 8 inches 20cm tall.
